Mila De Jesus, a Brazilian weight loss advocate with a significant social media following, died at 35.
Her relatives announced her death in several social media posts. On January 13, her Massachusetts-based husband George Kowszik posted on Facebook: "I struggle with words and communication." My beautiful wife and dearest friend, whom I love, died yesterday. Not sure what to say.”
Anna Clara posted a statement on De Jesus' Instagram two days after her mother's death. “I, Anna Clara, am posting this condolence note,” she captioned a black-and-white portrait of her mother.
De Jesus' death cause is unknown. The influencer has three children besides Anna Clara. Her spouse and she married in September 2023.
The 35-year-old Brazilian-born Bostonian became famous online after bariatric surgery in October 2017. Since then, De Jesus has shared her weight loss struggle with 64.9k Instagram followers. She has 103,000 YouTube subscribers and posted cosmetic lessons.
The Mayo Clinic reports that De Jesus has had psoriasis for three months, as she reported on Instagram in October. Her post stated that psoriasis had afflicted 80% of her body and showed photos and video of her stomach.

In November 2023, De Jesus posted two side-by-side images of her weight loss. The 2010 photo shows De Jesus at 22 before gastric bypass surgery, while the second showed her at 35.
