The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients: – 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 cup packed light brown sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 cups chocolate chips (a mix of milk and dark chocolate works well) – 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

1. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. 2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft. Keep in mind that the cookies will continue to firm up as they cool on the baking sheets.
