Silky Chocolate Pie recipe

For the Crust – 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (you can use store-bought chocolate cookie crumbs or crush chocolate cookies) – 1/3 cup melted butter

For the Filling – 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips – 1/3 cup cocoa powder – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup cornstarch – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 4 large egg yolks

For the Topping – 1 cup whipped cream (whipped until stiff peaks form) – Chocolate shavings or grated chocolate for garnish

Prepare the Crust In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.

Make the Filling – In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt. – In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and milk until well combined.



Add the Topping – Once the pie has set, spread whipped cream over the top. – Optionally, garnish with chocolate shavings or grated chocolate.
