Pecan Praline Pie

Ingredients: For the Pie Crust: – 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 3-4 tablespoons ice water

For the Pecan Filling: – 1 1/2 cups pecan halves – 3 large eggs – 1 cup light corn syrup – 1/2 cup packed brown sugar – 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Praline Topping: – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup packed brown sugar – 1/2 cup heavy cream – 1/4 cup unsalted butter – 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions: 1. Preparing the Pie Crust:a. In a food processor, pulse together the flour, sugar, and salt. b. Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

c. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together. d. Form the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

2. Preparing the Pecan Filling:a. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). b. Spread pecan halves evenly over the pie crust. c. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla

d. Pour the mixture over the pecans in the pie crust. e. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set.

3. Preparing the Praline Topping:a. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. b. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. c. Boil for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in chopped pecans.

4. Assembling the Pie:a. Once the pie is baked and slightly cooled, pour the praline topping over the pecan filling. b. Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.
