Kentucky Pecan Pie

Ingredients: – 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade) – 1 cup pecan halves – 3 large eggs – 1 cup light corn syrup

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed – 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. 2. Arrange the pecan halves evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.

Pour the egg and sugar mixture over the pecans, making sure to distribute it evenly.

Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set. You can check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center – it should come out clean.

1. Once done, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack. 2. Slice and serve the Kentucky Pecan Pie on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
