Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:

Beat creamy peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a large basin. The mixture should be smooth and moldable.

Shape the Peanut Butter Eggs:

Parchment a baking sheet. Make peanut butter egg shapes. Lay the formed eggs on the baking sheet. Use an egg-shaped cookie cutter or your hands to mould them.

Freeze the Peanut Butter Eggs:

Place the peanut butter eggs in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Prepare the Chocolate Coating:

Melt chocolate chips and vegetable shortening or coconut oil in 30-second intervals in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Use a double boiler to melt chocolate on the hob.

Coat the Peanut Butter Eggs:

Place on Parchment Paper:

Place the chocolate-coated peanut butter eggs back on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Set the Chocolate:

Allow the chocolate to set. You can speed up the process by placing the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes
