Easy Peppermint Brownies Recipe (One Bowl)

Ingredients: – 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted – 1 cup granulated sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) – 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well until the sugar is fully incorporated.

1. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. 2. Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt directly into the bowl. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it may affect the texture of your brownies.

1. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips to add extra chocolatey goodness to the brownies. 2. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

1. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies or candy canes over the top of the brownie batter. 2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

1. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. 2. Enjoy your delicious one-bowl peppermint brownies! They are perfect for holiday celebrations or any time you're craving a festive treat.
