Chocolate Chip Buttermilk Muffins

Ingredients: – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup packed brown sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1 cup buttermilk – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly. 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

1. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. 2. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

1. Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful to sprinkle on top of the muffins. 2. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top of each muffin.

1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs. 2. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
