Bourbon Pecan Elegance Pie

Ingredients: For the Pie Crust: – 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 2-3 tablespoons cold water

For the Filling: – 1 cup pecans, chopped – 3 large eggs – 1 cup light corn syrup – 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted – 2 tablespoons bourbon – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions: 1. Prepare the Pie Crust:In a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

– Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough just comes together. – Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven: – Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Pecan Filling: – In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. – Stir in the chopped pecans.

Assemble and Bake: – Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust. – Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set. – If the edges of the crust start to brown too quickly, you can cover them with aluminum foil.

Cool and Serve: – Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing. This will allow the filling to set. – Serve slices of the Bourbon Pecan Elegance Pie with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
