Ingredients: – 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips – 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk – 1/4 cup unsalted butter – 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
1. Once the mixture is smooth, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the peppermint extract. Make sure the extract is well incorporated. 2. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
1. If desired, sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies or candy canes over the top of the fudge, gently pressing them into the surface. 2. Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2-3 hours or until it's completely set.
