Bacon Avocado Grilled Cheese

Ingredients: – 8 slices of bread – 8 slices of bacon – 1-2 ripe avocados, sliced – 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend) – Butter, softened

Instructions: 1. Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it's crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and drain it on paper towels. 2. Prepare the avocado: Slice the avocados and set aside.

Assemble the sandwiches: Take 4 slices of bread and spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice.

Layer the ingredients: On the non-buttered side of 4 slices of bread, layer shredded cheese, bacon slices, and avocado slices. Top with another layer of shredded cheese. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out.

Grill the sandwiches: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches on the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, approximately 3-4 minutes per side.

Serve: Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool for a minute. Cut them in half diagonally if desired and serve hot.
