Air Fryer Steak

Ingredients: 1. 2 steaks (your choice of cut) 2. Salt and pepper, to taste 3. Olive oil 4. Garlic powder (optional) 5. Paprika (optional) 6. Thyme or rosemary (optional)

Instructions: 1. Preheat the Air Fryer:Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Season the Steaks: – Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. – Season both sides of the steaks with salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings you prefer, such as garlic powder, paprika, or herbs like thyme or rosemary.

Brush with Olive Oil: – Lightly brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil. This helps to achieve a crispy exterior.

Place in the Air Fryer: – Carefully place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring there is some space between them for even cooking.

Cooking Time: – Cook the steaks in the air fryer for about 8-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steaks and your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for 8-10 minutes; for medium, aim for 10-12 minutes.

Check for Doneness: – Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steaks. For medium-rare, it should be around 130-135°F (54-57°C), for medium, 140-145°F (60-63°C).

Rest and Serve: – Once done, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy and flavorful steak.
