Air Fryer Orange Chicken

Ingredients: – 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces – 1 cup orange juice – 1/3 cup soy sauce – 1/4 cup honey – 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

– 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 teaspoon grated ginger – 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat) – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 2 tablespoons water – Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish (optional)

In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Place the chicken pieces in a zip-top bag or a bowl and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the bowl, and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, 2-4 hours.

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). 2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels.

1. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. 2. Dip each piece of chicken into the cornstarch slurry, making sure it's well coated, and then place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Air fry the chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping the pieces halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Add the cornstarch slurry to the saucepan and whisk continuously until the sauce thickens.

Once the chicken is done, drizzle the thickened sauce over the chicken in the air fryer basket. Toss the chicken to coat evenly.

1. Serve the air fryer orange chicken over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired. Enjoy your delicious homemade air fryer orange chicken!
