Air Fryer Chimichanga

Ingredients: – 1 pound ground beef or shredded chicken – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – 1 teaspoon chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

– Salt and pepper to taste – 1 cup refried beans – 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) – 4 large flour tortillas – Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions: 1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or shredded chicken until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is softened.

Season the meat mixture with ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine the spices and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). 2. Place a tortilla on a flat surface, and spread a generous spoonful of refried beans in the center. Add a portion of the seasoned meat mixture and top with shredded cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards, and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a burrito-like shape.



Lightly spray or brush the chimichangas with cooking spray or olive oil to help them crisp up in the air fryer.

1. Place the chimichangas in the air fryer basket, seam side down, making sure they are not touching each other. 2. Air fry the chimichangas at 375°F (190°C) for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

1. Carefully remove the chimichangas from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. 2. Serve the air fryer chimichangas with your favorite toppings such as salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and chopped cilantro.
